Common questions

What happens to my existing WiFi?

Your new security router replaces your ISP hub (or puts it into modem mode). Your WiFi name and password stay the same, so all your devices reconnect automatically. You won't notice any difference in day-to-day use — everything just works, but securely.

Will it slow down my internet?

The VPN encryption typically reduces speed by less than 10%. On a 100Mbps connection, you'd see about 90Mbps — more than enough for streaming, gaming, and video calls. The security router itself is faster than most ISP hubs.

What if the VPN goes down?

Your internet keeps working normally. The security router operates independently — firewall, network segmentation, and encrypted DNS all continue. If the VPN service is temporarily unavailable, your connection falls back to your normal ISP route. You never lose internet access.

Can I cancel the subscription?

Yes, cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. You keep the security router and all its local protections (firewall, VLANs, IDS/IPS, encrypted DNS). Only the VPN encryption layer stops. There are no cancellation fees.

Is my data safe?

We operate a strict no-logs policy. We never record your browsing history, DNS queries, or traffic content. We're ICO registered, GDPR compliant, and Cyber Essentials certified. Our full privacy policy is available here.

Do I need to do anything technical?

Nothing at all. Your engineer handles the entire installation in about 30 minutes. After that, everything runs automatically. You'll get the SecureHome app to check your security score and receive monthly reports, but no technical knowledge is required.
